Tissot’s serious dive watch gets a fresh update for 2026, with five new references, brighter colours, a smaller case and a revised clasp.&nbsp;

Since its debut in 2021, the Tissot Seastar 2000 Professional has carved out an interesting place in the Swiss watchmaker’s collection. It is unapologetically capable, built for serious underwater adventures, yet remains accessible enough to wear far beyond the dive boat.&nbsp;For 2026, Tissot is giving the collection a colourful refresh with five new references. The new shades may be the first thing to catch the eye, but look closer and there are a few more meaningful updates hiding beneath the surface. The biggest change is the case size. The Seastar 2000 Professional now measures 44mm in diameter, down from the 46mm case used on previous models. Two millimetres may not sound like much on paper, but on a substantial dive watch, it can make a noticeable difference on the wrist. Importantly, the smaller case does not mean a reduction in capability. The Seastar 2000 Professional remains ISO 6425-compliant and water-resistant to an impressive 600 metres. It also retains its helium escape valve at 9 o’clock, ready for the kind of serious underwater missions that most of us will probably never encounter, but it is reassuring to know it is there. The steel case combines brushed and polished surfaces for a little visual contrast, while a screw-down crown sits safely between protective guards. Flip the watch over and there is a see-through caseback, offering a view of the movement inside. Two of the new references are also available with black-coated steel cases.

At 44mm wide and 15.29mm thick, this is still very much a substantial watch. Around the dial sits a steel unidirectional bezel with a ceramic insert and engraved 60-minute scale, reinforcing the Seastar 2000 Professional’s serious dive-watch credentials. However, if the smaller case is the biggest technical update, the colours are undoubtedly the most fun. The new collection arrives in deep blue, bright orange and stormy grey. The blue models keep things tonal with matching blue bezels, while the grey versions pair their darker dials with black bezel inserts. The bright orange reference takes a sportier route, contrasting its vivid dial with a black bezel. Orange is particularly interesting for the Seastar collection. The family has previously explored shades of black, blue, green and white, but this vibrant hue brings an entirely new energy to the lineup. It is bold, highly visible and, in classic dive-watch fashion, very hard to ignore. The signature engraved wave-pattern dial remains, as do the large luminous hands and indexes that have become a defining feature of the Seastar family. In other words, the watch may be wearing new colours, but it has not forgotten what it is.

There is also a small but welcome update to the bracelet. The new Seastar 2000 Professional is fitted with a diver clasp featuring a security lock and push-button extension. It is a relatively subtle change, but one that should make the bracelet easier to adjust and more convenient to use day to day. Tissot’s interchangeable strap system also returns, allowing the steel bracelet to be swapped for a rubber strap depending on the occasion. Because while the watch may be capable of descending 600 metres underwater, most of its daily adventures will probably involve considerably less water. Powering the new models is Tissot’s Powermatic 80 automatic movement, equipped with a Nivachron balance spring. Running at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offering up to 80 hours of power reserve, it delivers the kind of practical performance that has helped make the movement a familiar presence across Tissot’s collection. The result is a Seastar 2000 Professional that feels more wearable without becoming any less serious. It is still a rugged, technically capable dive watch, but the smaller case, new colours and updated clasp give the collection a fresh sense of energy.

At its heart, the Seastar 2000 Professional remains a watch built around a simple idea: that technical performance and purposeful design do not have to exist at opposite ends of the spectrum. Whether it is heading deep beneath the waves or simply making its way through everyday life, Tissot’s latest Seastar is ready to go further.
