During Milan Fashion Week, the Maison previewed its Autumn/Winter 2026 leather collections over breakfast at Salone dei Tessuti, transforming the space into an immersive landscape dedicated to one enduring idea: the journey. Rooted in the whimsical, cinematic universe of Anderson&rsquo;s Let&rsquo;s Write short film, the presentation framed travel as both a physical act and a poetic metaphor. Inside the showroom, the narrative unfolded through a series of curated stations, each offering a different perspective on craftsmanship, creativity, and design. Together, they formed a world that bridged Montblanc&rsquo;s heritage with its contemporary vision. One inspired by cultures near and far, past and present. Anchoring it all was a series of train cars woven into the architecture of the space, directly referencing the cinematic train voyage from Let&rsquo;s Write. Each car represented a moment along the journey; each stop, an opportunity for discovery.

At the heart of it all stood the Montblanc Desk. Introduced by Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta, the installation has become a central symbol of the Maison&rsquo;s creative philosophy. More than furniture, it&rsquo;s presented as the origin point of ideas, the place where journeys begin, stories take shape, and writing becomes an act of self-expression. Hovering above it was Montblanc&rsquo;s Tree of Writing, reimagined this season as a symbolic wishing tree. Guests were invited to compose personal messages, penned by a calligrapher, reinforcing Montblanc&rsquo;s belief that writing is a universal gesture. &nbsp;That sense of warmth and tactility extended seamlessly into the Autumn/Winter 2026 leather collections themselves. Soft finishes and supple constructions took centre stage, expressed through a rich, comforting palette of red-brown tones: ebony, bauxite, red oak, and honey. Leading the lineup was the expanded Writing Traveler line. The signature hero briefcase returned in grain leather, following its debut in corteccia sfumato last season, and was joined by new portable companions: a Crossbody with dedicated laptop and cable slots, a Mini Crossbody, and a Clutch Document Holder designed to be carried under the arm or by hand. Inspired by a &ldquo;cabinet of curiosities,&rdquo; Tomasetta envisioned the Writing Traveler as a mobile desk, smartly compartmentalised to hold writing instruments, notebooks, small leather goods, and daily essentials like watches. Montblanc also softened its boldest codes. The iconic Extreme pattern was reworked in smooth calfskin, bringing a gentler touch to the line&rsquo;s known functionality. New additions including a softly constructed Backpack and Weekender prioritised comfort without sacrificing structure.

Meanwhile, New Light Shapes continued the story of movement. Montblanc&rsquo;s technical fabric returned in featherweight travel pieces like the Panorama Backpack, Crossbody, and Belt Bag, elevated with contrasting leather details and finished in honey and bauxite hues. Rounding out the collection was Art of the Desk, an ongoing exploration of how modern workspaces can reflect personal style. From a honey-toned suede Notes Holder to sculptural pieces like the Arpeggio Tray, the assortment blended form and function with unmistakable warmth. Archive-inspired notebooks and refined coffrets for writing instruments completed the picture.
