The iconic fashion house unveils a digital archive, stages its first museum exhibition, and closes Milan Fashion Week in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

On July 24, 1975, Giorgio Armani launched his namesake fashion house in Milan, forever changing the landscape of modern luxury. Known for his clean lines, soft tailoring, and quiet sophistication, Armani became a global force, defining a new era of elegance that merged Italian craftsmanship with understated power dressing. Now, fifty years later, the brand is commemorating its golden anniversary with a series of events that celebrate its legacy while ushering in the next chapter.
The anniversary kicks off on August 30 during the Venice Film Festival with the launch of Armani/Archivio, a digital archive designed to both preserve and expand the brand&rsquo;s influence for generations to come. Curated with Armani&rsquo;s signature attention to detail, the platform will offer unprecedented access to five decades of fashion history&mdash;including runway collections, advertising campaigns, red carpet moments, and intimate behind-the-scenes footage. A physical space housing the archive will also open just outside of Milan, serving as a permanent hub for fashion historians and brand devotees alike.

On September 24, Milan&rsquo;s Pinacoteca di Brera will host Armani&rsquo;s first-ever fashion exhibition. Titled Armani/Casa Brera, the exhibit will feature 150 archival Giorgio Armani looks displayed in conversation with works from the museum&rsquo;s revered permanent collection. By placing fashion alongside fine art, the show offers a deeper understanding of Armani&rsquo;s visual language&mdash;his lifelong commitment to form, proportion, and timeless beauty.
The celebration culminates on September 28, when Armani will close Milan Fashion Week with his Spring/Summer 2026 Women&rsquo;s runway show. Held in the Courtyard of Honour at Palazzo Brera. The presentation will also include select menswear looks from the house&rsquo;s June show, tying together past, present, and future in one unified statement.
