The K-pop star brings effortless 90s nostalgia and laid-back campus style to Champion’s latest autumn campaign.

Now, V has added another major name to his growing list of brand partnerships: American sportswear label Champion.&nbsp;Following recent partnerships with soju brand Jinro and beverage giant Coca-Cola, V is stepping into a new role as one of the faces of Champion’s latest campaign,&nbsp;“True Champion”.&nbsp;

The autumn campaign brings together a diverse line-up of athletes, artists and creators, with V appearing alongside Romeo Beckham, Sofi Tukker, Kyle Kuzma, Danna Paola, Megan Keller, Bella Sims and Jaalen Best.
According to Stefani Fleurant, executive vice president of marketing, sport and lifestyle at Authentic Brands Group, which owns Champion, V was a natural choice for the campaign.
“True Champion represents a new chapter for Champion and the values that continue to define our brand,” Fleurant said. She highlighted V’s creative vision, global influence and genuine connection with his audience, adding that the campaign celebrates the different ways people can inspire others through their individuality and talent.
And V certainly brings his own personality to the campaign.

In the campaign images, V takes on a relaxed, boy-next-door aesthetic that feels straight out of a university campus, but with a polished modern twist. Rather than leaning into overly styled or formal looks, the BTS member appears in casual wardrobe staples including hoodies, sweatpants and baseball jackets.
The overall styling has a distinctly nostalgic 90s feel. Wired headphones add to the throwback mood, while the relaxed silhouettes and laid-back poses make the images feel intimate and familiar.
The campaign’s locations help reinforce that feeling. Instead of relying solely on dramatic sets, the photographs place V in cosy, everyday spaces, including a bedroom and a comfortable living room. The result is a series of images that feel personal and approachable, while still carrying the visual polish expected from a major global sportswear campaign.

Colour also plays an important role. Saturated, solid shades are paired with neutral tones, creating subtle colour-blocked looks that feel youthful without becoming overwhelming. The combination keeps the styling clean and contemporary while allowing those nostalgic details to stand out.
For Champion, the campaign marks a new chapter for the brand. For V, it is another example of his growing influence beyond music, particularly across fashion and popular culture.
With his effortless style and global following, it’s easy to see why Champion chose V for&nbsp;“True Champion”. And judging by the campaign’s relaxed, nostalgic mood, the BTS star may have found one of his most natural brand partnerships yet.
