Sukhumvit, located in downtown Bangkok, is not far away from the popular shopping havens, but it&rsquo;s one of the Thai capital&rsquo;s most vibrant &mdash; and equally action-packed &mdash; neighbourhoods. Home to some of the best restaurants, nightclubs, malls and hotels, the urban hub encapsulates the city&rsquo;s multifaceted charm. Located along Sukhumvit Road is the largest hotel in town &mdash; Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen&rsquo;s Park.
Step inside the lobby and you&rsquo;ll immediately notice the modern interior, decorated with classic Thai design elements. The rooms and suites are no different. The hotel boasts 1,388 rooms and suites ranging from the classic Deluxe Room to the Sky Suite &mdash; a 1,002-square-meter three-bedroom space that&rsquo;s situated on the rooftop. During our stay, we were put up in the former &mdash; a spacious 32-square-meter unit with a comfortable King bed.

Needing a little pick-me-up after all the travelling, we were immediately ushered to ABar, an al-fresco bar perched on the rooftop. Aside from offering a stunning panoramic view of the city, the space also has one of the largest selections of gins in the city with over 50 different varieties. Its signature cocktail menu that&rsquo;s inspired by the districts of Bangkok was a fun way to learn about the city. Paired with light bites from Akira Back (the first branch in Bangkok), this was truly one of the best ways to enjoy a perfect sunset.

For those of you who are planning a business trip, as the biggest hotel in the Thai capital, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen&rsquo;s Park features an impressive collection of more than 30 meeting venues which include three separate ballrooms that can house up to 4,000 people. But if you&rsquo;re there for leisure, the Quan Spa is a relaxing oasis that will indulge you in comprehensive traditional-meets-modern treatments. That said, regardless of whether you&rsquo;re in town for work or play, breakfast at Goji Kitchen + Bar &mdash; an all-day dining restaurant that serves an extensive selection of both Asian and Western cuisines in the open-plan space &mdash; will start your day on a great note. Buffet lunch and dinner are also available daily.

Heading out after breakfast? The hotel is located within walking distance of the popular lifestyle malls of the EM District (Emporium, EmQuartier and EmSphere), and if you&rsquo;d like to venture further, the Phrom Phong BTS Skytrain Station is in close proximity. Alternatively, if staying in is your plan for the day, lunch at The Siam Tea Room, a Thai restaurant that serves up authentic local dishes &mdash; from Tom Kha Gai and spicy pomelo salad to Khao Soi and green curry chicken &mdash; is highly recommended.&nbsp;
