OVER THE MOON
THE BELL &amp; ROSS BR-03 ASTRO

Bell &amp; Ross propels watchmaking into orbit with the BR 03 Astro, a timepiece that captures the enigma of space. With Earth at its core, encircled by the Moon and Mars, this striking creation pays homage to our blue planet while offering a bold new interpretation of the brand&rsquo;s horological expertise.
A finely engineered watch can serve as a portal to the universe, and with this vision in mind, the brand has undertaken the challenge of miniaturising a planetary system within a meticulously proportioned 41mm case. Distinctive and unprecedented, its dial charts the celestial orbits around Earth, turning timekeeping into a stellar odyssey. Designed for space dreamers and astronomy devotees, this timepiece is limited to just 999 pieces, and marks as one of Bell &amp; Ross&rsquo;s most inventive and dynamic creations to date.
A voyage through the solar system, the Astro captures the mesmerising vastness of space, with Earth positioned as the focal point. To achieve a faithful and strikingly realistic depiction, Bell &amp; Ross employed a meticulous decal process beneath the glass. The dial&rsquo;s glass is sculpted into a spherical cap, enhancing Earth&rsquo;s three dimensional effect while preserving clarity. Here, it is essential to balance the weight and positioning of the hands, particularly to accommodate the engraved Moon.

Inspired by the Cupola, the observation dome of the International Space Station (ISS), the Astro serves as a miniature porthole to the cosmos. Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Bell &amp; Ross, envisioned Earth from space, symbolically aligned with the Moon and Mars. He describes the watch&rsquo;s magic as lying not in a technical reimagining of an instrument watch, but in an artistic and imaginative representation of time. At the heart of this celestial display, a small satellite orbits Earth every 60 seconds. The Moon serves as the minute indicator, while Mars slowly traces its path to represent the hours. This dynamic, captive orbital system unfolds across a deep blue aventurine dial, transforming traditional timekeeping into an astronomical ballet. With celestial bodies acting as unconventional hands, each passing moment becomes a visual journey through space, making every glance at the dial an invitation to explore the infinite.
The case of the BR 03 Astro is deep black reminiscent of the infinite expanse of space. Crafted entirely from black ceramic, it is water-resistant up to 100 metres and features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal with a sculpted spherical cap at its center, presenting Earth in stunning relief. At its heart, the automatic movement BR.CAL-327 powers the watch. A black rubber strap reinforces the watch&rsquo;s professional-grade construction.

SPACE TRAVELLER
THE LOUIS VUITTON ESCALE

Louis Vuitton&rsquo;s Escale collection takes luxury to cosmic heights, incorporating a literal piece of outer space while celebrating the the brand&rsquo;s dedication to artisanal craftsmanship. With the Escale Cabinet of Wonders setting the stage, the Escale collection continues its journey into the essence of timekeeping by focusing on just the hours, minutes, and seconds. To mark the 10th anniversary of the Escale, Louis Vuitton unveiled a new chapter: a refined, time-only three-hand model. This iteration introduces highly textured surfaces, an enhanced case design, and meticulous finishing, all powered by a movement steeped in traditional Swiss horology.
While the complete collection&rsquo;s four models reinterpret the Escale&rsquo;s legacy with a focus on pure timekeeping, one standout piece, the W3PT11, brings an extraterrestrial element to the wrist. Its dial features a striking meteorite center, sourced from Namibia&rsquo;s famed Gibeon Meteorite, and paired with a silvery satin-finished tilted flange. Carefully selected to showcase the natural mineral patterns and contrasting textures of this otherworldly material, the dial transforms the Escale into a unique, celestial work of art.

Balance is paramount when harmonising an array of textures within the 39mm case, chosen for its elegant proportions on the wrist. This sense of equilibrium extends to the domed sapphire crystal, which flows seamlessly into the polished bezel in a single curve. From the front, this curvature remains almost imperceptible, ensuring uncompromised legibility. On the reverse, the sapphire crystal unveils the finely calibrated and meticulously regulated Calibre LFT023.
Encased in platinum, this model embodies a bold yet refined design, seamlessly integrating Louis Vuitton&rsquo;s heritage with the rarity of meteorite. The Maison&rsquo;s mastery in trunkmaking remains the foundation of the Escale collection &mdash; reflected in the case&rsquo;s distinctive lugs, which mirror the riveted brass brackets that reinforce the brand&rsquo;s iconic trunks. This design language extends to the polished, angled, and riveted hour markers, which are hand-applied at each quarter. The minuterie itself is adorned with gold studs, evoking the lozine-trimmed nails found on the said trunks. Complementing this, white- gold hands and markers create a striking monochromatic interplay of light and shadow against the backdrop of the crystalline meteorite.
At the heart of the watch is the precise chronometre-certified Calibre LFT023, offering a robust 50-hour power reserve. To enhance efficiency, the seconds hand is crafted from lightweight titanium instead of gold. Measuring 39mm in diameter, this Escale timepiece carries a unique engraved serial number on a slim cartouche, riveted in contrasting gold to the transparent caseback, making it an homage to the numbered plates that identify Louis Vuitton trunks. Positioned directly against the wrist when worn, this engraving serves as a tangible link between the wearer, the space-faring meteorite dial and Louis Vuitton&rsquo;s enduring legacy of artisanal craftsmanship.

COSMIC SURREALISM
THE HERM&Egrave;S ARCEAU SPACE DERBY

With the Herm&egrave;s Arceau Space Derby comes a dazzling expression of miniature painting, set against the shimmering backdrop of aventurine or pink opaline. Originally designed by Henri d&rsquo;Origny in 1978, the Arceau watch once again becomes a canvas for artistic mastery and technical finesse. Its round case, distinguished by asymmetrical stirrup-shaped lugs, frames an electrifying, otherworldly horse race&mdash;brought to life through bold, hand-painted hues on a luminous, celestial dial.
Through the magic of miniature painting, this extraordinary creation immerses us in the vibrant, retro-futuristic world of illustrator Ugo Bienvenu, whose Space Derby silk scarf reimagined cosmic equestrian teams in a whirlwind of colour and motion. Inspired by the dynamic energy of 20th-century American comic books, the design envisions a high-speed derby among the stars&mdash;where jockeys race through twisting space tracks, mysterious planets loom in the distance, and constellations shimmer like distant spectators in a galactic arena.
Intricately hand-painted on an aventurine or pink opaline dial, this scene introduces a new artistic expression to the Arceau watch. Executing this delicate craft requires exceptional precision, a refined eye for colour, and an acute attention to detail to achieve a dynamic interplay of tones, contrasts, and subtle intricacies.

Nevertheless, it is Herm&egrave;s&rsquo; forte in ensuring the right savoir faire in the production of such art. With each successive layer of micro-painting, carefully applied by brush and kiln-dried, the luminous hues gradually take shape, infusing the composition with remarkable depth and vibrancy.
The three limited editions in this collection breathe new life into the original design of the Ugo Bienvenu&rsquo;s work. The first is a pair of watches, 12 pieces each in white gold with an aventurine dial, showcasing a jockey in a sleek, aerodynamic chariot, led by an armoured thoroughbred galloping beneath a star-speckled sky. The second limited edition in 24 pieces, are set in a diamond-adorned white gold case and features a striking crimson moon-phase display and a flame-haired driver steering a high-speed horse-drawn carriage through the cosmos.
Both timepieces are powered by the Manufacture Herm&egrave;s H1837 automatic movement and complemented by alligator straps in abyss blue or old rose, perfectly harmonising with their respective dial hues. With a case diameter of up to 26mm, another key highlight is the petite moonphase indicator at the 10 o&rsquo;clock position.

NEIGHBOURLY BODIES
THE OMEGA SPEEDMASTER MOONPHASE METEORITE

Ever since it first touched the lunar surface in 1969, the OMEGA Speedmaster has been synonymous with space exploration. Now, that cosmic legacy takes a bold new step with the Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite which is a 43mm masterpiece that blends astronomical materials with cutting-edge horology.
This stainless-steel collection offers two distinct variations, each featuring dials crafted from iron meteorite which is an ancient fragment of space that carries a unique, naturally occurring pattern of interwoven crystalline structures. Enhanced with either a black PVD or galvanic grey coating, no two dials are ever the same, making each watch a true one-of-a-kind.
The real showstopper, however, lies at 6 o&rsquo;clock on the dial. For the first time in Speedmaster history, the Moonphase display is adorned with two sculpted Moons, crafted from genuine Moon meteorite. As they rotate, they mirror the waxing and waning phases as seen from both the northern and southern hemispheres. Adding to this celestial tribute, the stars in the background are positioned exactly as they appeared on the night of Apollo 11&rsquo;s historic landing, as seen from OMEGA&rsquo;s headquarters in Bienne, Switzerland.

Powering the remarkable functions on these timepieces is OMEGA&rsquo;s newly developed manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometre Calibre 9914. Visible through the caseback, the movement showcases a refined finish and offers exceptional precision, certified by METAS, with strong resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss.
For these watches, one edition of the watch features a striking black PVD-coated meteorite dial set on a black PVD-coated base, complemented by white gold hands and hour markers. It is paired with a black ceramic bezel, adorned with a white enamel tachymetre scale. The other version boasts a galvanic grey-coated meteorite dial on a blue PVD-coated base, framed by a blue ceramic bezel with a white enamel tachymeter scale. The hour markers and hour-minute hands, crafted from gold, are blue PVD-coated, while the subdial hands stand out in white gold. Both models are secured on polished and brushed bracelets, equipped with OMEGA&rsquo;s patented comfort release adjustment system. It is the final flourish for a timepiece that pays homage to its celestial heritage, ensuring the Speedmaster remains forever connected to its iconic Moon legacy.
